Day 14: Walking in the snow with Grandpa. And, yes, that’s snow mid-March. Our weather can’t decide what it’s doing.
Day 12: Sundays with no naps are tough. This little guy couldn’t quite make it to the end of the day.
Day 13: The weather was crazy today! Rain, snow, hail, rain, more hail, more rain… I decided to try my hand at a little macro photography without a macro lens. Nothing to blow the mind, but a fun try!
Day 10: Teenagers. This is a classic posture for today’s teenagers, but we sure love them!
Day 11: I love the mountains around here!
This is an integral part of the life of a 2-year-old. Doesn’t matter where we go, cars go with us.
This girl. She has a personality that doesn’t quit and the attitude of a 16-year-old. We love having her in our family!
According to the calendar, it’s not springtime. According to the flowers and weather, it is. Time to get working in the yard and flower beds. Spring is my second favorite time of year!
Like most kids, this guy would watch movies all day, every day, if I let him. I generally limit him to one show a day, which is most often Cars, but today he chose Frozen. Didn’t see that coming. I’m sure he’ll want to watch Cars later if I let him.
We got to hang with family last night, which was awesome! These two little cousins are only 2 1/2 weeks apart, but they haven’t lived close to each other in two years, so we love the chance to get them together. Love them!
Meet my beautiful niece. This is from the talent portion of her pageant, last night (hence the day-late post). She is beautiful, inside and out, and it showed. Her true desire was to be voted Miss Congeniality (which she was); and following the pageant, after giving hugs and attention to all her admiring friends and family, she started dancing with all the cute little girls that are sure she was a princess. She has the heart and kindness of a true princess.
I decided it was time to try something new, and I’m not all that thrilled with the results. But that’s what this is all about—stretching, growing, learning. I also think there’s something to be said for sharing those things that we feel might be sub-par or not what we imagined. We can’t always be perfect.
On a side note, I’m LOVING my new camera even though I have a lot to learn to use it effectively. Should be a fun learning process, though!
