Day 19: We got back late last night from my grandpa’s 99th birthday party at the care center where he lives now. I didn’t actually take this picture, but my camera did. 🙂 This man has been an example of hard work and strength my entire life. He suffers from dementia, so I don’t know that he really knew why we were all there, but he was happy to see us and was free with his hugs. I’m grateful for him in my life and I’m glad we were able to go see him. I never know how many of those opportunities I’ll have left.
Day 20: Love this girl!
Not super-happy with this one. Love the subject matter, don’t love my skills here. But, I wanted to try something different to stretch myself. He’s still super-cute.
We started out reading books tonight. This is what it turned into, which is not too surprising with these two. So fun, and they both have their own minds and their own way of doing things. Love them!
I got this shot of my little man while we were playing outside, yesterday. He’s so much fun to shoot because he finds delight in so many things! He has started thinking it’s a fun game to run away from the camera or turn to me and then quickly turn away with an impish grin on his face, but I love snapping pictures of him all the same.
Day 14: Walking in the snow with Grandpa. And, yes, that’s snow mid-March. Our weather can’t decide what it’s doing.
Day 10: Teenagers. This is a classic posture for today’s teenagers, but we sure love them!
Day 11: I love the mountains around here!
This is an integral part of the life of a 2-year-old. Doesn’t matter where we go, cars go with us.
This girl. She has a personality that doesn’t quit and the attitude of a 16-year-old. We love having her in our family!
According to the calendar, it’s not springtime. According to the flowers and weather, it is. Time to get working in the yard and flower beds. Spring is my second favorite time of year!
Like most kids, this guy would watch movies all day, every day, if I let him. I generally limit him to one show a day, which is most often Cars, but today he chose Frozen. Didn’t see that coming. I’m sure he’ll want to watch Cars later if I let him.
